2024 Inktober

Personal Project

Artist

This is my Inktober project of 2024.

Please see details of this project here:

Description

I spent the October of 2024 creating 1 visual image a day. Most of these are made with procreate on an iPad, some of the AI pieces are made with AI art platform Eden.Art.

Highlights

Here are some of my personal favorites.

10.09 - 「God is Crying」

Chiang Mai has experienced some of its most severe flooding in decades. The Ping River reached a record level of 5.3 meters, surpassing typical seasonal highs of around 4 meters.

Floods, storms, and droughts are sweeping all corners of the earth and getting slightly worse every year.

Humans are resilient by nature, we work through these disasters again and again, relocate, rebuild, redesign our lives.

Progress is iterative, if we want progress, we have to work towards it.

Shout out to our resilience.

Let’s keep building and re-building. 🙌

10.16 - My Mother of Fire 🔥

The Mother of Fire Raised Me to Be Her Baby,

So I Can Raise My Child of Water.

10.15 - Hey, Easy

Sometimes people’s level of compassion inspires me, I don’t understand how anyone can be so gentle towards things that are infuriating, yet they do.

Within our elasticity and resilience, we have so much more compassion to share. Here’s a little symbol of what that looks like to me about the ‘good and evil’, the never-ending cosmic dance of the two.

10.29 - Devotion

Believing in life’s mission is a stubborn devotion.

Think about us who were burnt alive,
skinned, smashed, torn apart,
through the cyclical suffering, we evolved to love each others, to be more at peace with each others.

We weren’t born in heaven but we spend every second of our lives building it.

We didn’t discover love, but it’s like fire that we cannot help but allow to erupt from within us.

With full devotion to love there is nothing to fear.

What else is there to live for?

10.30 - Flammarion Engraving and Edge City 😘

This is my secret confession to Edge City. I think what we’re building here goes beyond what’s on the surface. 😏

For Human Flourishing…
